Providing you with a Stable and Safe Environment

The service provides semi independent accommodation and housing related support to young people, aged 16 - 21 years (and up to 25 where there is an identified disability, special need or ongoing support) who are looked after, care leavers, and unaccompanied minors.  Elite accommodates short to long term and emergency placements ranging from low to high support.  They will support the young person to move on and will continue to support them in the first 6 months to manage their tenancy.

The service will primarily focus on ensuring that young people are supported to maintain an independent role in the community, with advice and assistance to access other appropriate support services.  Young people will be assisted in self development and sustainable independence to provide them with the opportunities to develop skills and meet new challenges.

Where young people are from different cultures and religious background and are experiencing separation from family, friends, community and schools.  They may also be traumatised by the adverse experience they may have had.  Elite will ensure that these young people receive stable and consistent care and support.

Elite will provide a stable and safe environment to enable these young people to establish themselves in their new environment and integrate into a community and culture that is different from their own.  They will support these young people to maintain links with their own heritage and religious beliefs.

Ethos

Elite strongly believe that every young person matters and consequently have built their services on those premise.  They maintain a high standard to achieve good outcomes.  They aim to deliver a service that they would like to receive if they were in the position of that young person.  Elite focus on the outcomes young people achieve as they move towards independence.

Elite like Lord Laming believes that "Investing in childhood is more than a nice thing to do.  It has a real value that goes beyond the child as it facilitates the future wellbeing of society."

Elite's principle also aligns with Professor Munroe's statement  "Every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their life after abuse".

Mission Statement

To treat others as they would like to be treated and to be a source of empowerment to enable young people to live independently with the appropriate support tailored to their individual needs.
